Jupiter JFH-1100R Flugel Horn

Jupiter's '1100-R' flugel horn outfit in Bb, featuring traditional brass band style vertical slides, with rose brass ports. This super model features a 11.68mm bore, 152mm bell, Monel pistons and tuneable mouthpipe.

The JFH-1100R brings a great overall quality and value to this instrument. The construction is lacquered Rose Brass and it benefits from Monel made pistons which ensures an even action and longevity. The instrument is finished with pearloid finger button inlays along with vertical outer-slides in nickel silver. 

With a tone 'darker' than a trumpet, darker than the Trumpet, the cornet has a more mellow and thicker sound and, although it does have orchestral uses, its primary role is in Jazz and Pop. Miles Davis, Chet Baker and Clark Terry are all well known exponents of this instrument!
