The Silent Brass system lets you play your brass instrument anywhere you want, anytime you want, and with just the kind of ambiance you feel like. You can mix into the sounds of a CD player, other Silent Brass or other instruments with electronic output.

  How does it work? By using Yamaha's Silent Brass system. Each brass instrument, from Piccolo Trumpet to Tuba, can have a pick-up mute placed inside the bell. This is then connected to a digital processor, the personal studio, where effects and reverb can be altered. The pick-up mute is made of lightweight plastic, with a unique rubber seal to hold it securely in the bell. Once connected to the personal studio, only a fraction of the sound can be heard outside of the headphones. The Silent Brass system includes Personal Studio, Pickup mute, earphones, and an adaptor.
