Baritone saxophones create the most fantastic bass sounds and enhance the harmonic variance in many musical ensembles.   Pitched in Eb, the same as the alto, these are glorious instruments to play but require a tremendous amount of stamina and a strong diaphragm, particularly when sustaining notes.
