For a long time, we have been recommending Print Music for those who want a good score-writing program at a budget price.  Everyone would like Sibelius, as it is widely regarded as the bees-knees, and at long last they have produced a worthy entry-level model, called FIRST.   Look at our gallery of Budget Score-Writers and you will see that, price-wise, it is actually the SECOND Sibelius product, as Sibelius Student is actually cheaper.  However, "Student" is only designed for those who have access to the full Sibelius 6 at school or work, and "Student" then allows them to continue to work on their school projects at home.
