Korg MicroStation

A 5-octave workstation that is smaller than the rest!? With a 16-track sequencer and sounds lifted from some of Korg's legendary models? Yes to all the above, and the Microstation is a breath of fresh air for some musicians who are not too bothered about key actions, but concerned about desktop space!

Small enough to sit on your lap or on a desktop due to the smaller-scaled keyboard, the USB equipped Microstation can of course be used as a controller for soft synths and DAWs loaded into a PC. But why bother? With a 512 voice soundbank, loop recording sequencer and dual arpeggiators and the ability to store 128 of your own compositions, we were left staggered at what this model offers in the form of quality and versatility.

Featuring searing leads, basses, powerful drums, modern, retro and unheard of (!) sounds, the Microstation is catering mainly for the modern dance musician. Throw in a SD card compatible slot for storing your songs, setups and this little station is quite simply another display of Korg's revolutionary models.

Although the keyboard is scaled down in size, it has a soft-touch action, and is very comfortable to play. The black notes have a slim profile, making it easier to play the white notes and chord shapes. Not recommended for those with wide fingers!
