The Olympus LS5 captures audio at a superb 96kHz in WAV, MP3 and WMA (Windows Media Audio), and is extremely keenly prices considering the specifications onboard.

Supplied with 'Sonority' audio editing software, the LS5 features five reverbs, stereo playback speakers and features a 2Gb internal memory. However, external SD/micro HCSD cards up to 32Gb are compatible and audio can be streamed via teh built-in USB 2.0 connection.

The recording resolutions (variable) make quite a difference to the recording times available when powered by batteries, and this can range from 55 minutes up to 6 hours, depending on the format you select and bit rate.

Simple to operate with just a few buttones, the LS5 also provides a large 1.8" backlit LCD display.
