Here are some imaginative ways of converting materials which would otherwise have added to the pollution in this world, to fun musical instruments.  After seeing how these "instruments" have been constructed, why not challenge the class to create their own?

Please be aware that these are not as rugged as commercially produced instruments made from rigid plastics, so they will need to be played with respect!

There are instruments made from empty plastic water bottles, bottle tops waste wood, bamboo, used car tyres and tin cans.  They are made in Bali, where bamboo grows abundantly, so these items are from a fully sustainable resource. Our package contains "instruments" for 25 players, and we put the whole package into a plain cardboard (recyclable) container.
