This is an Italian-style round-back instrument, made from solid woods throughout.  It has a pine front with inlaid escutcheon, with 21 ribs and eighteen frets.

This Ozark model features solid wood throughout, pine front and twenty one ribs, and therefore produces a good, authentic sound.
