Sonar X1 Studio

Sonar X1-Studio is the mid-point for the 'Sonar' series of DAWs and provides an expanded set of professional instruments and effects. Note that this special version is available for official school orders only.

This version is really not that far behind the top-of-the-range 'Producer' version, and both see unlimited audio tracks and other pro features. That said, certain elements have been stripped out for this 'Producer' version - 'Truepiano', mastering tools and one or two of the virtual instruments. The superb 'Prochannel' mixer too has sadly escaped this version.

Looks are not everything though, so it may be of interest to know that in terms of actual recording, 'Studio' provides unlimited audio tracks (either 32 or 64-bit), as well as unlimited MIDI tracks.

The 'Skylight' interface is customisable too, allowing the composer the freedom to personalise the screen.
