Yamaha DTX500k Digital Drum system

The DTX500-k digital drum system is a practical, entry-level electronic drum system taking years of Yamaha's digital drum technologies and resulting in an exciting, expandable portable kit.

Those who know of the older 'DTX-Plorer' kit will be pleased to know that the DTK500-k now features more preset kits (with genuine Yamaha drum samples!), more sounds and digital effects AND an EQ system.  Add to this an easy to use sequencer (recorder) and training features such as Measure break, Groove check, Rhythm gate which will help with sharpening your drumming techniques when practicing.

Ideal either for silent practice with any existing headphones or for gigging drummers, the high impact rubber pads give a natural feel when playing and cut out almost all noise when played through good headphones. Of course, stereo line outs are featured on the brain for those who wish to link to a PA system.

It features a metronome to keep time, and 41 preset songs to play along to, with the option of muting the drum tracks to add your own rhythms.

You can even plug in your CD or MP3 player to the AUX in and play along to your favourite songs and MIDI connections feature on this system to allow the drummer to connect to a wealth of MIDI compatible electronic instruments or a computer for further expansive recording.

This digital kit is also great for stage performances, as each cable is the optimum length from the module to the pad, avoiding messy wires on stage, and as the rack has a foldaway system which allows you to keep the pads and module on the rack, it's a quick and easy set-up every time. A good introductory system for the beginner (and supplied with a genuine Yamaha bassdrum pedal), but those who require more authenticity, we would wise to consider the next model in the lineup - the DTX520-k featuring a 'mesh head snare', as well as zoned cymbals and 'cymbal choke' features!
