Yamaha MM6 MiniMO Synth

Yamaha's five-octave, velocity-sensitive MM6 (Mini-MO) is based on the same engine as the world-class Motif ES pro Workstations!

This entry-level synth/keyboard uses 70Mb of internal wave-memory, to faithfully recreate a huge range of voices from pianos, orchestras, pads, leads, synths, drums etc. Just about every imaginable instrument is onboard and an array of control knobs allow for real-time manipulation of these voices.

However, the heart of this model, Yamaha 'PSR keyboard' style grooves & full accompaniments can be fingered and in many respects is almost as easy to play as a Yamaha portable keyboard. Anyone who currently owns a Yamaha PSR model who is intrigued by synthesis need look no further as this is a model which will take you up a league in terms of creativity. The MM6 is therefore a hybrid synth/keyboard with an emphasis on ease of playing and quick musical results.

The USB compatible MM6 is supplied with Cubase LE (computer recording software), although an onboard 6-track sequencer is on hand if you are suddenly inspired and wish to compose without the hassle of computer connectivity. 

A large LCD display makes all of this operation and navigation a breeze and, whilst there are no speakers on this model, the MM6 makes for a good, low-cost live synth as audio outputs to external amps AND registration memories (for quick scene selection) are standard issue.
