Yamaha P95

A basic yet good quality portable piano relying on Yamaha's acclaimed digital technologies, the P95 is a model which concentrates on providing the user with an authentic piano tone, at an affordable price point.

With a beautiful sampled piano voice (plus serveral electric pianos, harpsichord etc), Yamaha have opted for their Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) key action for this model and, to some accomplished players, this may seem a little light. However, it is an ideal action for the younger beginner who will need to develop strength of hand.

This 'medium' weighted action also has an effect on the overall weight of the instrument, which is just 12Kg and is therefore easily transported in one of our optional soft keyboard case (see below). With adjustable touch sensitivity too to make playing this 88-note (MIDI compatible) model comfortable, Yamaha clearly have the beginner in mind.

That said, for those accomplished pianists who are not too bother about key actions, the P95 is a suitable model for piano teachers who may need to transport it to schools. Of course, the P95 is equally at home in the classroom for rehearsals, or in the living room.

Providing a song recorder, the P95 is also useful if you are practicing a particularly difficult piece with it's built-in song recorder. This allows the user to record a sophisticated piece of music at a comfortable tempo which can then be played back at the correct tempo later - you can even play over the top with a different voice (strings for example).

With just 6watt speakers, the output volume is just sufficient for monitoring, but dual headphone sockets are provided for teacher & student to practice and even duet in silence.
