Yamaha Pocketrak-W24

The Pocketrak W24 represents the highest quality from Yamaha in compact digital recording, together with some neat, handy features.

Released at the same time as it's little brother (the Pocketrak C24), this top-end model has developments in areas such as the microphone and overall battery life duration (now up to 56 hours of use using the supplied AAA battery in MP3 mode).

The microphone itself is of the X/Y configuration designed for the ultimate in recording quality, and a wind shield is provided to filter out 'popping'. This is the first pocketrak supplied with a handy wireless remote control, so the Pocketrak can be placed in the optimum position, whilst the user controls it from the other side of the room (a good idea if you don't want to be in the spotlight of the stage to make quick adjustments)!

Recollection of eight different user 'scene memories' are also featured on this model, and the Pocketrak takes into account the fact that a user may be recording several sources, and therefore requires different Pocketrak setups. Don't fear, as the W-24 provides the right scene memory for the job at a press of a button.

Naturally (as is Yamaha's trend), Cubase Ai5 is supplied to capture your recordings on a PC via thePocketrak's built-in USB 2.0 connection, and Cubase itself does a wonderful job in capturing and tweaking your various recorded pieces.

The ultimate? We think so, and this superb new model will no doubt find it's way into the hands of music teachers, journalists, bands, orchestras etc.
