Yamaha STAGEPAS 500

Yamaha certainly hit the nail on the head with their super portable PA package - the Stagepas 300, and it now has a bigger brother, the Stagepas 500 which outputs 250watts per side - ideal for medium sized church or school assembly halls. 

Many of the features of the '300' have been retained: the speaker cables and powered mixer are stored in the back of the speakers, multiple inputs by jack, XLR and RCA phono, and 2-band EQ on each channel.

However the Stagepas 500 features a number of improvements and additions. The powered mixer has 10 input channels (4 mono, 3 stereo) with switchable phantom power on the 4 mono channels for use with unpowered microphones. Adjustable SPX digital reverb is available on channels 1-4, and compression and limiting is built-in to channels 1 and 2. As well as EQ on each channel for adjusting your mix, there is a handy music/speech button, which when selected, optimizes the system settings for maximum clarity of speech.

The total power is a beefy 500 watts and is produced through 2 -way passive speakers, with better low frequency response due to the 10 inch woofer, and if you require floor monitors or need to record your performance, the powered mixer has outputs for these purposes too!

And, unlike the Stagepas 300, the '500' does not require adaptors to enable it to be mounted on a tripod stand as it features a standard 35mm 'top hat'.

The Stagepas 500 is a powerful, flexible and extremely portable PA system and would be great for gigging musicians, public speaking or for use around the school.
