Yamaha's 200 series Electric Silent Violin possesses a warm, full-bodied tone and, using the instruments EQ, you can choose between the ability to play with either a dry signal or with an enhanced acoustic tone.

Under the bridge there are dual Piezo pick-ups to give you a true sound with all of the timbral characteristics found on any acoustic violin.

The body is made from a solid Spruce with a Maple neck and Ebony fingerboard. The on-board pre-amp is virtually noise free for recording or amplifying. Yamaha have re-positioned the 1/4" output jack so that it now drapes the cable behind the player, and the redesigned lower body accommodates a standard shoulder rest.

Powered by one 9-volt battery. It does not include a case or bow.
