Yamaha SVC50

This model has been designed for greater portability, and now has removable leg supports, making it possible for the whole instrument to fit inside a compact gig bag. It still feels and plays and sounds like a traditional cello, and it has headphone or line-out sockets so that it can be quiet or amplified. As with other models in the Silent Strings and Brass series, Yamaha have incorporated an input socket, and digital reverb into the electronics, so that you can play a CD, cassette or iPod track through the instrument and play along for rehearsals.
