Yamaha YBL421GE Trombone

Featuring within the BIGGER brass section is Yamaha's bass trombone. A complementary instrument to have in any trombone section, as it offers a different ambience to brass bands, orchestras and other ensembles. Having a larger bore and bell than the tenor trombone, its tone is deeper and the lower register much improved.

This particular model was designed to make the transition from tenor trombone to bass much easier (especially for younger and amateur players), with its light weight and very slick slide action. It features a single rotary valve to help with weight but at the same time the tubing around the valve has been opened out to ensure that the trombone is still very free blowing. To play a double rotor bass trombone would normally be a very heavy and laborious task, but the YSL421GE makes it a much more pleasant playing experience.
