The start of the professional saxes from Yanagisawa, which dates back to 1893 and can still be heard singing out on its own.

It has a fantastic sound, very clear and focused and particularly suited to solo performance. It has a light key action, which means it's great for fast passages and showing off your fingering technique. 

In particular, the F# key allows you to use the "wrist watch action" which enables a smoother playing style. The dynamics that can be attained are extremely rich and vibrant and will thrill the player as well as the listener! This would be great for solo work, as it has the ability to cut through other instruments.
