Yamaha YSS475ii (Mk2)

Yamaha's intermediate soprano saxophone, has been designed as a doubling instrument for those who have already enjoyed the sax world and would like to expand their range and repertoire.

If you are looking for value for money, as well as reliability plus good tone quality, then the YSS475 won't let you down! Its design is based on Yamaha's professional soprano sax range, and you will find that it has the front F key, the rocker mechanism on the low C#/Bb keys and the high F#. This is great for the sax player looking for a second instrument - or even a third!!

The YSS-475II employs the typical tonal density of most Yamaha saxes, and players can expect a lively and bright response overall. The keys are light and have been better positioned for a more comfortable grip, which will be of some help to alto or tenor sax players who have recently moved on to soprano. 

This sax features a Bb custom spatula which encourages correct technique, as well as an adjustable thumb rest which offers increased player comfort. The low vent tubing design drastically reduces the noise on the lower key action too.
