Buffet Prodige (BC2541-2-0)

Buffet 'Prodige' student Clarinet outfit which replaces the highly acclaimed student B12 model.

Built to a very high standard than most starter models, the Prodige has been designed to look and feel as similar as possible to Buffet’s professional models and to prepare the student for future progress through the grades. 

The use of the diaphragm is very important when playing the clarinet and the Prodige has a lot of resistance, particularly around the break, which requires the use of firm muscles both with the diaphragm and embouchure.  Buffet mold the bore in France to ensure the highest levels of quality control and accuracy in both tuning and response. The holes are drilled using calibrated machinery in Germany to make sure the each clarinet is consistent and produces the sound you as a musician deserve.

Made from ABS polymer resin and, with a new bore inspired by the Buffet E13 model (!), the Prodige is an excellent choice for students in the long term, as it builds their stamina and improves the ability to play long passages with uninterrupted air flow.  It has a warm, mellow sound which is the trademark of the wooden Buffet clarinet range as a whole, and is highly recommended for students of all ages.
