These colourful tubes are perhaps one of the most unusual percussion crazes to hit the schools - literally! But what are they? They are basically tubes of plastic which, when cut to specific lengths, produce a musical note when hit against something (like a wall or table). The individual tubes can be distributed around a classroom and songs can be performed by getting the pupils to hit the notes in the right order.

There are now Teacher's resource books available to help bring out the best in musical pupils when using these colourful percussion items!  The Wak-a-Tube range is now made in the UK, and are even better value than before.
