Commonly used by the band leader to keep the bass tempo to help the other players around them.

Our GAD3 Ghanian, rope-tuned djembe drum has a nice deep sound for that constant beat required in your djembe band. With a slightly larger (13") head than our Traditional Large model, this is, however, substantially heavier and projects its volume very well.

Please note that this is an extremely heavy, solid drum, and as such is generally unsuitable to all but the strongest adults.
