Yamaha PSR-EW310

An extended 76-note keyboard, brimming with sounds, styles and musical creativity, Yamaha's PSREW310 is a touch-senitive and USB compatible model, suited to a wide range of player abilities, from beginners through to some pianists and music composers!

Supplied with a mains adaptor, this model can also be battery powered (1) and is ideal as a 'standalone' model or for use with music software programs such as Cubase, Sibelius, Logic and Garageband. 

A 'progressive' educational keyboard with an extended range of sounds (622 of them), as well as additional rhythmic accompaniment styles now totalling 205, a new arpeggiator function and registration memories (as required by some examination boards).

The PSREW310 provides song writers with a 5-song recorder (2-tracks) song recorder, and important educational features such as registration memories (x9), and split / layer features are standard issue on an instrument of this 'progressive' level.

The PSR-EW310 employs a staggering variety of onboard voices, and these can be split and layered to create some gorgeous textures. From orchestral sounds, through to synths, guitars, brass, woodwind and drums, the voices cover all categories whilst the rhythm accompaniments include traditional styles, rock, classical, modern day dance types and even ethnic styles.

The PSREW310 is now finished in black, and adopts a sleek chassis whilst sporting small bass boost ports to project a richer bass output, whilst an LCD display sits in the middle and helps with navigation of the sounds, styles and general settings (no DSP on this model however).

The keyboards 'action' feels firm and is touch-sensitive to allow students to play with a level of expression (similar to a piano) and, for those who wish to use this model with Cubase, Sibelius, Garage Band etc, the PSREW310 works brilliantly (PC and Mac drivers available to download). It's easy to use at beginner level too and, as with all Yamaha keyboards, navigation is very logical

The PSR-EW310 supports streaming audio from an i-Pod via a minijack socket on the rear panel, allowing the user to play their favourite tracks through the 2.5w speakers.

No synthesizer function here and no 'line outputs' on this model for connecting to a dedicated extrenal PA system (Yamaha's higher spec PSREW410 employs both features), but the PSREW310 does boast a USB TO HOST terminal, which allows you to connect to a computer or portable device and record high-quality audio without the need for an additional interface - BRILLIANT!
