Boasting impressive statistics and specifications, the Celviano AP270 (available in black or white finishes), employs modern digital piano technologies and impressive statistics (128 note polyphony for example) even at this entry-level starting point. Furthermore, Casio have designed this model to be more compact whilst tweaking the hi-tech voicing technologies to now include two new grand piano voices (European and American grands).
An 88-note 'Ebony & Ivory Feel' weighted key model (courtesy of Casio's 'Tri-sensor Scaled Hammer Action ii), the AP270 certainly looks very traditional and feels and sounds authentic due to a highly sophisticated 'AiR' sound source for tonal resonance. Surprises include USB connectivity, a 'duet' mode and an 'Acoustic Resonance' effect giving the acoustic 'hollow-like' tones of an upright or grand piano.
With a modest selection of tones (22 in total), the Celviano AP-270 is concentrating on quality of tone rather than providing a variety of musical tools and gadgets, and this is certainly enough spec for a student of the early grades to work with.
With stereo 8-watt speakers and NO stereo outputs, this does unfortunately limit the AP270 to the classroom or living room but, overall, the AP-270 will surprise with its single aim - to provide a good, authentic piano tones and comfortable authentic key action at an affordable price.
A piano stool is NOT supplied, but have a look at our selection below.
