A traditional looking model, Casio's superb Celviano AP470 adopts cutting edge 'AiR' morphing technology as the sound source, along with a revised Scaled Hammer Action (now version ii). The result is a serious digital piano which has it's place in the home, school or Church.

The AP470 certainly sounds the part, with dynamic resonance effects, together with acoustic piano characteristics such as 'Key-off' samples and, with just 22 sounds onboard (including acoustic/electric pianos, Church organs, harpsichord, strings etc.). New American and European grand piano sounds also feature, and it's clear that Casio have strived for quality with this lovely model, rather than quantity!

The AP470 also features a New Hall Simulator feature - select from Dutch Church, Standard Hall, Berlin Hall and French Cathedral ambient settings!

The onboard voices are playable from the Scaled Hammer Action keyboard (featuring simulated Ebony & Ivory keys), which provides a 256-note polyphony value. This statistic along with the fact that the AP470 supports half-pedalling underlines the fact that this is a serious players model which is at home in the classroom or in houses of worship where authenticity is paramount.

With stereo 20-watt speakers built-in, the AP470 won't blow the roof off, but it benefits from line outputs allowing for connections to existing PA systems or amplifiers.

Other connections include USB (to your computer) and twin headphone sockets.

The rich voices can of course be layered and the keyboard can be split, and these sounds are further enhanced with digital effects from reverbs to chorus, and there is a brilliance control should you feel in the mood for some relaxing classical piano playing.

Available in either black or white finishes, please note that a piano stool is NOT supplied, but have a look at our selection below.
