Primary Schools

Approximately 13,000 of the 22,000 infant, junior and primary schools already have an account with Starland Music providing them with discount prices. (Log in here to locate yours:- Education Prices )

Music Co-Ordinators, HeadTeachers and School Admin staff are encouraged to call when they have to source equipment for the school, and our advisors can save them time money by pointing out any special offers which may be around, and we're happy to help you navigate the website for the best deals.

The Finance Office of every Local Authority in the UK has Starland Music (or our division “Keyboards in Action”) on their books, and we run an efficient “Assisted Instrument Purchase Scheme” for VAT-free student purchases for many State schools.

We are also very happy to provide written quotations whenever a large amount of items has to be acquired. School Governors, PTA and Grant authorities look more generously at carefully considered purchases, and our Advisors can help your application in many cases.

A full printed catalogue is published every year free to every school that has an account – contact us to request your copy.  However, in the spirit of minimising paperwork, our website now contains considerably more information, product reviews, videos and general advice, and it is updated on a daily basis.

 OUR VISION FOR 2018

The digital age is upon us, and we have updated our company's systems to provide Educationalists with the best possible service, with interactive links via email, the Starland website and our interactive "Request Quote" service. If you are researching a  purchase on behalf of a primary school, log on to your school’s account for preferential educational prices.

Our system is uniquely interactive, as we start with a telephone conversation or an email from you, our customer, to establish your needs.  An initial quotation is sent with some notes on each item with suggestions and useful tips if appropriate.  We encourage you to respond with your thoughts, and then respond with an amended quote to meet your revised needs, and can do this several times until you are happy to discuss this with senior finance colleagues. A copy can be simply forwarded to a Bursar or Headteacher, or printed for discussion in a meeting, or attached to a bid from a funding organisation.

The quotation is written so that music teachers AND non-music staff can easily understand the proposal, and click on links for further information.

All the time, we are making recommendations from the point of view of a teaching environment, understanding the need to meet tight budgets, but realising that the cheapest alternative can often be the worst option for encouraging young beginners to enjoy practicing.  We want to help you to build EXCELLENT musicians for the future.
