The HP704 employs the premium PHA-50 key action with a wooden and plastic hybrid structure. The result is a truly remarkable key action, which is both responsive and authentic. The speaker system (with 4-way speaker projection) is suited to a classroom or a small hall with 25w x 2 and 5w x 2 output.
Available in either Charcoal Black, Dark Rosewood or white finishes) the HP704 employs Roland's SuperNATURAL Piano sound engine, for seamless velocity response, natural note decay, and authentic key-range behaviour to reproduce perfect piano sound and expression. Tone colour changes seamless in response to touch, accurately translating the player's emotions. Tone decay is natural and organic, with the decaying sound not only decreasing in volume, but also gradually changing in colour to a softer tone. Each note has its own character, which creates variations in tonal colour and resonance of each note.
In addition to the selection of onboard grand-piano sounds, the HP-704 features a pallete of 348 other voices (strings, brass, organ etc), as well as the superb 'piano Designer' giving the user the ability to tailor and create their own personal piano voices for instant recall.
“Progressive Damper Action Pedals” that have light resistance at the beginning of the stroke and more resistance the instant they begin to take effect, just like real acoustic pianos. This makes it easy for the performer to know when the pedals begin take effect, and also allows half-pedal techniques for subtle control of after tones and resonance. This pedal can accurately convey the techniques of serious pianists.
The built-in recorder lets you capture your performances as audio and/or MIDI data — a convenient feature for pianists as well as students who want to evaluate their playing, and this can be monitored via the speaker system or through a set of optional headphones. Stereo output sockets are available when connecting to a PA system or series of amplifiers.
USB compatible and with bluetooth technology onboard, the HP704 incorporates the latest digital piano technologies, whilst maintaining an elegant, traditional design.
Please note that a bench is optional (see below for our recommendations).
