This electro-acoustic guitar from Sonix is slightly smaller and shallower than full size making it comfortable for younger guitarists to hold. It has a reasonably low string action and good intonation making it easy on the left hand and satisfying to play - this should encourage practice during the often frustrating early stages of learning.

There's a pickup built into the body of the guitar - plug in using the jack port in the strap hook at the bottom of the guitar. Volume and tone (including a 3 band EQ) can be controlled by a neat battery-powered panel on the side of the guitar.

The guitar's front panel is made from a solid piece of spruce while the back and curved side pieces are mahogany. The top has been stained with a classic sunburst design and the whole body finished in a thick clear lacquer for protection.

A sturdy instrument that produces a clear consistent tone and a reliable starter instrument finished in a natural sunburst gloss.
