Yamaha DD75

A serious set of electronic drum pads, Yamaha's DD75 gives the 'wannabe' drummer 8 rubber (and touch-sensitive) pads, laid out in the same configuration as a real drum kit.

With sticks and bass and hi-hat pedals included, the user now has access to an unprecedented 570 drum, percussion and tuned percussion voices. IT SOUNDS BRILLIANT TOO, with top-notch quality samples throughout!

A portable (tuck under your arm) design, the DD75 boasts stereo speakers but lacks a 'line output' socket, so there is no dedicated external amplifier connection to be found here. Yamaha have therefore clearly aimed this at the novice as well as the accomplished player who needs more than 'saucepan lids' to practice on!

It sounds incredibly realistic with its arsenal of voices and phrases to play along with too, and the kits themselves cover all genres from rock to modern dance and techno, through to Jazz and latin percussion setups. All of the onboard sounds are triggered by the sensitive pads, and enhanced with onboard reverb and master EQ effects.

With 5-watt stereo speakers built-in, the DD75 is fantastic for the young novice drummer needing to practice basic rhythms, but the DD65 won't deliver the full drumming experience due to this being a laptop / tabletop design.

Of course, you can practice in relative silence (with optional headphones), and if you have a particular song that you'd like to get to grips with, you can simply plug your MP3 or CD player into the AUX-IN socket. The DD75 even has an internal flash ROM memory for recording your tracks (4-track recorder built-in)!

Supplied with two pedals and a pair of drum sticks - note that the mains adaptor (model EPA6) is extra as shown below.
