Youth Clubs, Music Schools & Charities

We have long-term links with charities, youth clubs and local music centres, whether set up and funded by the government, school or grant-assisted charity. A discussion with one of our Advisors will establish how Starland can help, by extending discounts and special offers where appropriate to the charity’s needs.

Over the years, many customers who had been running a Music Dept at school have left or retired and set up a private school for the benefit of the community. Some are immensely successful and active organisations who teach young and old the benefits of learning an instrument, and the joys and fellowship which comes from playing ensemble music of all types.

We’ve advised recorder clubs, African drumming classes, keyboard group tuition, Youth bands, pre-school activity clubs, Ukelele orchestras, and countless other groups working for the benefit of the community.

We take our hats off to Music Therapists, working in hospitals and NHS trusts to bring enjoyment and involvement to those struggling with their health. Several have encouraged their NHS trust to open accounts with Starland Music, and they seem to appreciate our solid dependable advice. When you are entrusted with a limited budget, and it’s public money too, you need responsible advice from experienced professionals in the Starland Advisory team.

Call our Advisory team on 0845 862 1913 if you are purchasing on behalf of such a Club or Charity, and we will give you a “Guest Login” if your organisation qualifies for our best discounts. We can send you a free copy of the latest Starland catalogue on request.

 OUR VISION FOR 2018

The digital age is upon us, and we have updated our company's systems to provide Educationalists with the best possible service, with interactive links via email, the Starland website and our interactive "Request Quote" service. If you are researching a  purchase on behalf of a secondary school, log on to your school’s account for preferential educational prices.

Our system is uniquely interactive, as we start with a telephone conversation or an email from you, our customer, to establish your needs.  An initial quotation is sent with some notes on each item with suggestions and useful tips if appropriate.  We encourage you to respond with your thoughts, and then respond with an amended quote to meet your revised needs, and can do this several times until you are happy to discuss this with senior finance colleagues. A copy can be simply forwarded to a Bursar or Headteacher, or printed for discussion in a meeting, or attached to a bid from a funding organisation.

The quotation is written so that music teachers AND non-music staff can easily understand the proposal, and click on links for further information.

All the time, we are making recommendations from the point of view of a teaching environment, understanding the need to meet tight budgets, but realising that the cheapest alternative can often be the worst option for encouraging young beginners to enjoy practicing.  We want to help you to build EXCELLENT musicians for the future.
