MMX Student 4/4 Size Violin Outfit

Our quality 4/4 sized student violin outfit, the student series of MMX instruments offer unrivalled value for money.  This instrument is expertly hand crafted by the luthiers in the Gua Fang Wang workshop in Beijing with superb attention to detail. The violins are made from select spruce and ebony to ensure the best possible tone, and the solid maple back and sides are beautifully flamed for a professional-looking finish. 

The last stage in the manufacture of these instruments is hand applying an oil based varnish. Unlike other violins at this price point which are usually finished with a plastic type lacquer, the oil varnish gives a very desirable antique finish to the instrument and, instead of encasing the wood, works with it to further enhance the tone. 

Fitted with high quality D'addario Prelude strings, which produce a richer tone, and the sound of the instrument is greatly improved.

This lovely model comes with a beautifully hand-crafted bridge which has been delicately shaped to help produce a mellow tone. Due to the thinner shape, the sound is able to resonate better through the body of the instrument, and so produce a richer, more rounded tone. The instrument is of course complete with high-quality ebony fittings and, as opposed to other student instruments, contains intricate purfling to the front and back. These narrow grooves in the instrument can also improve the instrument’s pitch and sustain. 

The violin comes complete as an outfit, including an oblong case, professional quality MMX professional bow and rosin. The case includes an additional pocket for a shoulder rest, as well as two bow holders.
