The Bb bass clarinet is one octave lower than the Bb clarinet and can descend to low Eb, or in some cases, low C. Both types are shown. We also include in this gallery our selection of Eb and Alto models, which are collectively often called the "harmony" models.

Eb Clarinets are very tiny compared with the Bb instrument, producing a bright and distinctive sound often heard in concert bands, ensembles and clarinet choirs. It requires the player to have a firm and controlled embouchure!
