Silent pianos are quite extraordinary, as these are real pianos equipped with some very clever electronic gadgetry - they can be played silently when using headphones! The piano is essentially an acoustic instrument with strings & hammers and, as a bonus, there is a digital piano built inside too, which can take over when the needs arise (i.e practicing in the classroom or late at night).
