Yamaha DGX-670B

The DGX670W (black finish) is a very important model for students, teachers, beginners and advanced players for many reasons, not least of all for the fact that this is an extremely flexible practice piano with keyboard elements which is packaged and priced very keenly indeed!

It's clear that Yamaha's Clavinova digital piano technology has filtered through to this model which now encompasses a 16-track (yes...16 !) song studio, premium 'CFX' grand piano voice, Bluetooth connectivity and premium Super Articulation and MegaVoice technologies.

Featuring a semi-weighted GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) key action, the 88-note touch-sensitive keyboard will feel soft to the accomplished player and firm to the beginner. The advantage for the beginner however is that this particular key action will help develop dexterity and strength in the fingers!

With a huge pallette of well over 600 onboard voices, these sounds cover all categories from pianos, orchestra and synths etc, and can be layered and split. The DGX670 employs Yamaha's mighty 'CFX' piano samples and customisable ''Piano Room' feature.

The onboard range of over 260 inspiring music styles (backing tracks) played by the left hand can be introduced. This magnificent range of accompaniment styles vary from rock to classical through to modern day dance! Create and save your own set ups too, with 32 on board user registration memories.

USB compatable with support for USB memorystick, the DGX670 features a sixteen track (easy to use) sequencer which exports your songs to memorystick as SMF data or digital WAV format files.  This can then be downloaded into a computer software program such as Cubase for editing. Note that the large LCD display will actually display the manuscript for songs that you have recorded!

Supplied with a single (sustain) pedal/pad, an optional LP1 footpedal board is available providing the full compliment of three pedals and we could talk about the huge effects section, Music Database and much more.

While a headphone socket is standard issue, the DGX670W does not allow for further amplification to be connected and, with stereo 6-watt speakers built-in, this underlines the fact that this wonderfully flexible model is for practice/education or general entertainment use, especially when you consider that it has an mini input socket for connecting your i-Pod/pad so that you can play along with your favourite tracks.

For the vocalists among you, the DGX670 has a dedicated microphone socket where your voice can be heard in the mix and via the speaker system.
