Yamaha YAS82Z

A brilliantly designed Custom model from Yamaha designed in conjunction with Michael Brecker and Phil Woods, possibly the two most highly regarded jazz saxophonists. This instrument is designed for those looking for a very powerful and a slightly brighter sound - particularly suited to jazz players. The design of this sax is very similar to the YAS875EX in that it features the new hand-finished G1 crook, with its wider taper producing a more open sound. The left hand low Bb key has been made more angular, so it is easier to reach those bottom left hand keys. A natty little improvement is that the attachment ring has been enlarged, and is now made from nickel silver which should stop it from wearing away! This also helps when doubling up, as it is quicker and easier to switch from one instrument to another. Along with the very powerful sound that this saxophone produces, as with all other Yamaha models, it remains very free blowing.
