We Think

Employing Casio's superb AiX voicing technology, the CT-S400 5-octave music keyboard is ideal for the Music Technology Department and for the casual player, offering a wide range of expressive features and versatility.

Lightweight and portable, the CT-S400 boasts 'AiX' sounds, from shimmering strings throuogh to powerful drums, realistic pianos ...and just about everything else in between (it offers 600 onboard voices in fact).

At this level, the CTS400 has touch-sensitive keys for a greater level of expression, a pitchbend wheel for sliding notes and line input socket as well as USB for computer / device connection. Students can record too, as the CT-S400 has an onboard song sequencer offering 6-tracks and 5 song storage.

No sound effects buttons or 'Dance Mode' on this design (teachers take note!), it is battery or mains powered (see below for optional power supply).

However, one major difference between this and it's little brother (model CT-S300) is that the CT-S400 here offers both the ability to split the keyboard and layer two sounds together. Both are important features for some teachers.

With a sustain pedal socket (pedal optional), 61 touch-sensitive full-sized keys and stereo 2.5w speakers with new bass reflex speaker system, the CT-400 has an uncluttered interface, with just the essentials at hand in the form of large, firm buttons and an LCD for quick navigation. Note that it features a MINI jack socket for connecting headphones for silent practice.
