Model: GOKEYS-3

Model: GOKEYS-5

A duo of new models from the legendary Roland marque, expanding on the popular series of 'Go' keyboards.  However, the GO-Keys 3 and GO-KEYS 5 have an ace up their sleeve in terms of sound engine resulting in some of the most incredible voices.  These amazing sounds have been curated from Roland's back catalogue of sound design going back many. many years!

Of course, real world sounds are onboard from orchestral strings through to woodwind and you can reckon on just about any sound being included within the vast collection of over 1100 voices.  These incredible sounds are playes as a selection of accompaniment styles are played with the left hand and the end result is...extraordinary!

Ideal as 'standalone' desktop models for general teaching AND as a USB controller keyboard, both GOKEYS offer similar specs. However, teh GOKEYS 5 features an advanced speaker system as well as an onboard vocal harmonizer and effects section for performing players/singers.

Oh, and the colour choices are exciting too, with turqoise, red, white or Midnight Blue available!

Model: PSRE283

A distinct lack of new keyboard releases at the recent January 2024 NAMM Music Fair, but Yamaha did use the event to showcase their latest PSRE283 introductory five octave keyboard.  Introductory because it is NOT sensitive, NOR equipped with USB, so mainly suited to KS1 and KS2 classes.  Essentially, this is a minor upgrade to the established PSRE273, but with some extra onboard voices and rhythm styles, so nothing too revolutionary here!

However, the similarities with Yamaha's YPT270 model is evident, and the YPT270 is still available and represents (we feel!) much better value, especially if you are building up to a class set of the same model.

Do contact us for a chat about these 'entry-level' Yamaha keyboards and we will be please to help you navigate the pros and cons!

Model: Yamaha NP-15

The NP-15 is now being despatched, and this 76-note desktop piano is set to be a model on many a music teacher's lips given the huge popularity of it's predecessor (the Yamaha NP12).

So, the NP15 may be basic in terms of functionality, but this is why it is likely to be popular with teachers! You won't find hundreds of sounds or rhythms on this compact desktop model.

You will find however gorgeous sounds, a nice graded keyboard and USB for those who wish to connect to PC and Mac systems for controlling software. The NP15 is ideal as a 'standalone' desktop model for general teaching AND as a suitable USB controller for your DAW software.

Model: Starland Solutions 'Progress Roland' PR4 pack

Extending our range of Starland Solutions keyboard packs for classroom, such is the popularity of the Roland keyboard models over recent years that we  thought it was high time we devised a laboratory based on this top manufacturer.

Not only do the Roland 'Go-Keys' 61-note keyboards sound superb (given Roland's amazing sound technologies), but they look great too in a red chassis.

As usual, there are different sized packs to cater for all eventualities, and each keyboard can be assigned to two students for simultaneous playing and monitoring via the robust headphones.  They are also designed to work with tablets too.

Model: Yamaha YPT270

One of the most discussed and popular keyboard ranges for schools over the past few years have been the YPT models from Yamaha.  The sad news is that this 5-octave basic model is just about to be decommissioned - a shame given it's brilliant design catering for the earlier KS1 and KS2 music student.

The good news?

We have stock available for our education customers, and will keep supplying as long as we can.  Teachers like the fact this is the only "entry-level" non-sensitive keyboard  that has a screen with very usable educational features for beginners.

It is very robust in the chassis, and manages to withstand copius amounts of enthusiasm from primary pupils!

Please remember to log in with your school email address to be able to view special "Education" discounts, otherwise you will be viewing our consumer prices!

Yamaha's YPT270 educational keyboard is also the basis for our Starland Solutions 'Start Keyboard' classroom multipacks.
