The top of Kawai's amazing 'ES' range, and one to consider if you are considering a stage piano for live use in particular, the ES920 from Kawai employs a wealth of technology resulting in a natural sound and natural feel piano experience, together with features aimed at the performer.

With just 38 onboard sounds, it is clear that Kawai are focusing on premium quality (rather than quantity), and these sounds are simply incredible.

The ES920 captures the magnificent tone of two Shigeru Kawai instruments, the flagship SK-EX Concert and medium-sized SK-5 Studio grand pianos, allowing musicians to enjoy the contrasting properties of each.

In addition, the ES920 also features the distinctive sound of Kawai’s highly acclaimed EX concert grand piano, which has frequently been selected by professional pianists in such prestigious events as the Chopin, Tchaikovsky, and Rubinstein international piano competitions, among others.

Features include onboard EQ slides, Bluetooth, registration memories (ideal for live use), and even a rhythm section.

It features a 20w-20w stereo speaker system, and incorporate audio processing and amplification technologies developed in collaboration with premium Japanese audio specialists, Onkyo. It boasts a line out for those who need to connect to external amplification such as a PAS system.

This unique hardware combination allows these lightweight, portable instrument to deliver well-rounded bass and crisp treble frequencies, reproducing the superb Shigeru Kawai grand piano sounds with exceptional tonal clarity and richness.

Virtual Technician allows the user the freedom to create their own custom piano tones, with onboard editing - Hammer Noise, Key-off Effect, Resonance and many more parameters are close at hand.

The Responsive Hammer III action recreates the distinctive touch of an acoustic grand piano, with its realistic movement and accurate 3-sensor technology providing a smooth, natural, and highly responsive piano playing experience. The weight of the keyboard is appropriately graded to mirror the heavier bass hammers and lighter treble hammers of an acoustic piano, while structural reinforcements within the action assembly ensure greater stability during fortissimo and staccato passages.

The ES920 features built-in Bluetooth MIDI and Bluetooth Audio connectivity, allowing apps such as Kawaiʼs dedicated PianoRemote control app or a wide range of third-party learning and recreation apps to be enjoyed wirelessly, or for music streamed from a smartphone or tablet to be played through the pianoʼs impressive audio system without any additional cables.

Wired connectivity also remains strongly supported, with standard MIDI, USB, Line In and Line Out terminals providing a range of options for the home, studio, and stage

Available in black or white (please specify colour choice when ordering), it is supplied with an F10-H (half damper) pedal.

Also available as optional extras are the HM-5 fixed-height wooden stand, and F-302 3-pedal box.
