Roland RD88 Stage Piano

A powerful 88-note PORTABLE slimline model with acclaimed PHA-4 weighted action and ZEN-Core technology found in the company's flagship synths!

Compact, slimline, lighweighta and LOADED with sounds and 'must have' features for live performers, the RD88 adopts the advanced 'SUPERnatural' piano technologies, together with an incredibly authentic PHA-4 hammer action with Escapement and Ivory Feel keys - brilliant!

With over 3,000 tones and 400 'scenes' onboard, you can be sure of an exciting range of wonderful sounds based on decades of Roland's voicing experience (acoustic piano, vintage electric piano, clav and virtual tonewheel organ for example), whilst rhythms are also onboard.

For further stage control, the RD64 provides an EQ system, and a series of effects is onboard, with zoning for those who wish to control MIDI equipped instruments and modules.

The RD-88 has three zones that can be configured with internal sounds, or can integrate and control soft synths from Apple MainStage. This makes it simple to duplicate the sound of a track live or mix favorite soft synths with the RD-88's own palette of sounds. Pitch and mod wheels are onboard too whilst a huge range of realtime control knobs and beautiful digital effects are there to be explored!

At just under 13K.5g, this USB compatible model features a myriad of connections such as stereo outs, pedal jacks and phono inputs (a great addition as the RD-88 has a controller mode for your existing MIDI gear who's output can be routed via the RD88 and monitored through headphones). This being a professional model has (surprisingly), small 6-watt built-in speakers, for close monitoring and a microphone socket for player/vocalists.

Comfortable on stage, school hall, church or small home studios, the RD88 is flexible enough to be used just about anywhere and gives a very good piano playing experience together with  Roland's pristine sound technology.
