Kawai ES-120B

A compact and lightweight model from Kawai, this is the entry-level ES120 model and, lets face it, Kawai know a thing or two about pianos!

More advanced than the equivalent Yamaha, Alesis and Casio models, as this model features Damper Resonance, Voicing, Hammer Fallback Noise, and Damper Noise for the acoustic piano voices. The result is very impressive!

Given the portability of the ES-120, the key action is light but firm and is graded, although the keys (each with 2 sensors) are plastic 'box style' design. Some may like the key action, whilst others may not be quite so comfortable! The keyboard allows for dual and split modes and offers 192-notes of polyphony. 

Employing Kawai's 'Harmonic Imaging' sound technology, you can rest assured that the onboard voices are superb with 88 key sampling of the sounds.Onboard are a range of stunning sounds (just the essentials!), ranging from acoustic pianos through to electric pianos, strings etc. These are further enhanced with various sized reverbs to select from.

A 3 song / 1-track recorder is onboard and Bluetooth and even registration memories (x4) make a surprise appearance whilst the sound system comprises of 12cm x 2 full range speakers delivering 10-watts per channel.

USB compatible, the ES-120B boasts a pair of line out sockets (jack type) for connecting to a PA system or amplifier, and a socket for the supplied pedal supporting half-pedalling mode.

Incredibly portable at just 12Kg, and light enough for some to move around the Music Department as well as for on stage performances when connected to an amplifier.
