An exciting, 5-octave Korg educational workstation model ideal for music education, the EK-50 employs Korg's legendary sound technologies and combines this with an easy to use interface.

Ideal as a students 'standalone' desktop model for the classroom, the USB compatible EK-50 is also suited to music computer input and even boasts USB to device to save your creations to memorystick.

The Korg EK-50 offers a huge range of over 700 sounds (from pianos and orchestral through to choirs, woodwind, synths and drums) and more than 280 onboard music styles (each with 2 intros, 4 variations, 2 fills, 1 count in/break, 2 endings, synchro start/stop). All of this glorious sound is delivered via the chunky 10w bass reflex speakers or optional headphones for silent practice (large 6.35mm jack).

The EK-50 includes educational elements such as split/layer modes and registration 'sets' are featured for quick recal of settings mid performance. At this level, the EK50 incorporates a pitch / modulation lever allowing for expressive performance slides, bends and vibrato effects.

A 12-track sequencer is onboard (4 keyboard parts + 8 auto accompaniment parts), and the EK-50 can even playback MP3 and WAV digital files via it's speakers. An audio input is onboard for those who wish to plug in a sound device to jam with too!

Supplied with a mains adaptor, the EK50 can be battery powered and is a good value contender in the progressive keyboard arena - a good value  alternative to the Yamaha PSRE463.
