Employing the beautiful grand piano voice courtesy of Yamaha's 'Pure-CF' sound engine, the YDPS35 is essentially a slimline version of the popular YDP145, but with upgraded 8w stereo speakers, together with improved reverb and damper resonance.

Now with a massive 192 notes of polyphony, the YDPS35 takes over the reigns for entry-level digital pianos, whilst retaining the important aspects demanded by piano teachers. For example, it has a full compliment of 88 Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keys which are marginally lighter than Yamaha's other models in the lineup. This is not a negative point though, as this is an action aimed at those who are just starting piano playing where smaller hands may not have the strength nor the technique to play a fully weighted model. This is why we class the YDPS35 as a 'practice' model.

That said, the YDPS35 does inspire with its ten meticulously 'sampled' tones, and the stereo Yamaha grand piano tone is both rich and dynamic, with three dynamic levels available when playing with expression. The piano sounds are powered by Yamaha's 'PURE-CF' technology which delivers authentic acoustic pianos complete with Key off samples, damper resonance and string resonance elements. Electric pianos and harpsichord also feature and this is all heard via stereo 8-watt speakers intelligent acoustic control (IAC), and this poweroutput are suited to a small classroom or living room.

For those practicing, the YDPS35 has a little onboard recorder (1-song / 2-tracks), and for those composing with music software, USB makes an apperance for easy connection to your favourite music computer programs.

No audio outputs on this model unfortunately and therefore not capable of connecting to an external amplifier or PA system, but twin headphone sockets again underline the YPDS35 as a practice model, where student and teacher can both monitor skill/performance progress in silence or via the stereo 8w speakers onboard.

Suitable for practice in the home or in the classroom and available in either Black Walnut (as shown above), White Ash or White Satin finishes, and note that a piano stool is not supplied (please see the options below).

A sliding keycover and full compliment of three pedal are provided.
