Korg B2 With Stand & Pedals

The Korg B2 features 88 'NH' (Natural Weighted Hammer Action) keys with adjustable touch levels, This could be classed as 'semi-weighted', and sits some where between a portable keyboard and acoustic piano feel. Although responsive, it won't be to everyone's taste, but is suited to novice players who need to develop dexterity and finger strength.

Onboard sounds include the premium Grand Piano voices (German, Italian, Classic, Jazz and Ballad), three electric pianos, a harpsichord, two organ sounds (Pipe and electric), and orchestral strings. All of these sounds are carefully and meticulously sampled and directed to the built-in powerful 15-watt speaker system. A headphone socket is standard issue and doubles up as a line output socket for connecting to an amplifier for stage or larger hall performances.

Korg have implemented a new technology too, to achieve the deep, rich tones of an acoustic piano within its compact body. The B2 Digital Piano relies on KORG’s servo-assisted 'MFB' technology, a pair of full-range speakers, plus a passive radiator. Together, these elements reproduce the rich resonant tones that emanate from the large body of an acoustic piano, with particular attention paid to the low-frequency range. 

There is little doubt that Korg have decided to produce a simple, no-frills model with the introduction of the B2, and as portable as it is with a handful of good-quality sounds, it is clear they are edging into low cost / beginners territory with this model, whilst still retaining their superb digital musical instrument technologies and reliability.
