We Think

Yamaha's Key-lighting model which will appeal to beginners at home as those using computer music systems, the EZ300 is a five-octave keyboard with a selection of over 200 built-in songs. Although this is a model for training budding players, the addition of touch-sensitive keys and USB puts it squarely in our gallery of 'Progressive Keyboards Level 1'.

These preset songs, together with Yamaha's superb educational facilities and the lighting-key system will have the user playing instantly with left, right or both hands! As you become more experienced, the lights can be switched off at the press of a button - Instant results, quickly. For this model though, Yamaha have decided to boost the EZ-300 with plenty of versatile features and sounds. the onboard voices cover all genres from synths to pianos and drums, and Yamaha have even loaded up a selection of their brilliant 'Super Articulation' voices.

Finished in white and supplied with a mains power adaptor, the EZ-300 boasts USB computer connectivity and GM (General MIDI) compatibility. This is great news of course, as it is possible to connect to the internet via your computer, and download YOUR favourite songs, instead of the 100 supplied 'World standards'.

In addition, a wide range of voices are provided (205 in fact), and these can be played across the touch-sensitive keys - with or without the lights.

Registration memories, split/layer functions, a 2-track song recorder and digital effects, the EZ300 is a seriously versatile instrument for the classroom or music technologu suite.
