We Think

A robustly built stage piano from Kawai with wooden keys and 40 premium sounds, together with performers 'must have' features for live performance work.

At 34Kg in weight (!) and employing Kawai's superb Grand Feel III wooden key action, the MP11-SE is not the lightest in weight (!), but is designed for the stage and provides the performing musician a range of just 40 important and useful voices, including the premium Shigeru Kawai EX, Kawai EX and Shigeru Kawai SK-5 samples (sampled across 88 notes). Given the overall weight, we would certainly recommend two people transport the MP11SE in a flite case between gigs, as a padded soft case is really NOT suitable for this professional model.

The MP11SE allows every single customised sound, knob position, fader level, and adjustable parameter to be stored in memory as a SETUP, and recalled at the touch of a button. With over 208 SETUP memories, the MP11SE is ideal for busy stage musicians who like to plan several shows ahead, before going out on the road.

A virtual Technician feature allows for the voices to be customised to a large extent, with parameters such as String Resonance, Damper Resonance, Key-off Effect, Damper Noise, Hammer Delay, Fall-back Noise etc. to be tinkered with and stored. A four band EQ system is at hand too for tailoring sounds from the stage if necessary.

A Kawai F-10H damper pedal is included.
